As we approach the end of the first decade of new millennium, the world faces unprecedented environmental & social challenges. At the same time, peak oil prices, choking mega-city pollution of waste, air & soil, loss of biodiversity fresh waste & food shortages & the “inconienient truth” of global climate change threaten ecosystems.
Growdiesel Climate Care Council is pleased to announce NextGenFuels 2010-an International workshop, summit and exhibition on Next Generation Fuels. NextGenFuels 2010-is the 5th Global Summit organized by Growdiesel. Over 5000 deleagtes, experts & speakers from 25 countries around the world have attended highly acclaimed Growdiesel events to date.
NextGenFuels 2010 shall be covering futuristic biofuels like Drop in fuels, algae biofuels, Synfuels, Green Diesel, Biobutanol, biofuels from biomass, biofuels from all types of wastes including city/farm waste, Cellulosic Ethanol etc. NextGenFuels 2010 shall also include a special session on fuels from artificial photosynthesis. NextGenFuels 2010 will discuss the entire spectrum of innovative 2nd, 3rd & 4th generation fuel pathways and conversion technologies that are under development and promise to soon become a commercial reality.

Globally the biofuel industry is moving towards biomass-based hydrocarbon fuels that follow a sustainable, cost-effective production. The futuristic biofuels must be compatible with the existing engines, refineries and distribution infrastructure. They should be commercially sustainable and most importantly made from non-food renewable resources. These next generation fuels compatible with existing fossil fuel infrastructure shall also be called "drop-in fuels".
NextGenFuels 2010-shall investigate brand new biofuel production processes like fermentation, catalytic conversion, anaerobic digestion, catalytic fast pyrolysis, hydro-pyrolysis, hydrothermal liquefaction, syngas-to-fuels, plasma pyrolysis, catalytic depolymerization, algae growing systems, BTL, WTL, solid catalyst based biodiesel, etc. These next generation biofuels technologies would show a technical performance better or equivalent to fossil fuels, offer improved carbon dioxide savings and come from abundant & cheap biomass to make them sustainable.
